Here you will find any information you are looking for when it comes to Mustang Hot Wheels. Any variation that is found is on this site and with pictures if possible. Looking for information about that certain Mustang variation? HW Stangs has you covered.This page is constantly updated as new variations are found and as new castings come out. If you have any ideas for the site, they can be sent to the site via e-mail at admin@hwstangs.com.

Also if you find a Mustang variation that is not listed on the site, you can e-mail pictures and a description of it to variations@hwstangs.com. Please send pictures of the cars rivets when sending about wheel variations.

The blackwall era went from 1978 to 1988.


1977 Blackwalls

In 1977, the Mustang Stocker was released in the Super Chromes segment of the 1977 Hot Wheels. It was released with both, redlines, and blackwalls. Pictured below is the blackwall version,


It could have also been found with door lines. Today, finding one with door lines is tough! (Pictured Below)


It was also released in Japan, and came in a box. It's pictured below!

This Mustang Stocker was found with either a Malaysian or Honk Kong base. The Hong Kong base is the hardest to find.

It was also found in France with a France base. This base variation today, is hard to find!

Could have also been found with red paint with black, yellow, orange, and blue tampos, GHO's.

1984 Blackwalls

In 1984 Hot Wheels released a new wheel called the Whitewall. Just like the blackwall, instead it has white.

'65 Mustang Convertible


Also found with red paint, tan interior, unpainted Malaysian base, with whitewalls

Mustang Stocker

This Mustang Stocker is a Mexico release and is very rare.

Found with white paint with red and yellow stripes across top, "450 HP" on hood, "Ford" on the roof, cream color interior, blue tint window, unpainted Malaysian base, with blackwalls.

Found with yellow paint, no tampos, with blackwalls.

Mustang Turbo

This Mustang Turbo is rare and is hard to find today.

Found with metallic blue paint with GHO's.

1985 Blackwalls

Mustang S.V.O.

Found with black paint with orange, yellow, and white tampos, GHO's

This Mustang Turbo is hard to find and also has a window variation as it can be found with light or dark windows. The dark windows variation is the hardest of the two to find.
